It’s always so rewarding to see new parents coming into Sip and Ship with their fresh-faced newborn babies beaming with pride as they hand over their online returns, order a much-needed jolt of caffeine, share a thick slice of our homemade banana bread, and continue their urban city stroll.
Sip and Ship employs many young adults who work as members of our team and often get their first glimpse of what will become priorities in their lives. Working and supporting the priorities of Sip and Ship customers over our coffee and shipping counters, often during quick exchanges, provides them with the opportunity to learn about the value of service and to assist and simplify the lives of others.
Twelve years ago, Hallie McGee was a Sip and Ship crew member and today she is a mom, business owner, and artist, “Me and my family are always greeted with smiles and hugs. My son loves coming in with us and climbing the shipping ladder to grab our mail. {The same ladder I climbed hundreds of times way back when.} Now, my husband and I are mailbox customers and like to take care of business at Sip and Ship, making this one of the most productive stops in our day. We have documents notarized, send family heirlooms, fax, scan, and copy stuff while snacking on our favorite Sip and Ship homemade treat, and picking up any last minute birthday presents. The Sip and Ship is a big part of our lives and always will be.”
