As most of you already know (and for those of you who don't know, yet) the Sip and Ship is a neighborhood hub for grabbing a cup of coffee, an oversized warm chocolate chip cookie, while picking up a beautiful letterpress card and gift for a friend and mailing all your packages for personal or business needs all in one swoop. It’s kid friendly, dog friendly, and people friendly. Everyone inside aims to please and provide every guest with the highest level of acknowledgement, interaction and care. It’s a kindness store; founder and owner, Diana Naramore talks with Sip and Ship customer and dear friend Mary Lyn Jenkins on her podcast called One Creative Act - click here to take a listen. Sip and Ship is proud to partner with entrepreneur and dessert maker, Aliyah Davis of Black Magic Sweets, continuing our commitment to delighting your errand running in creative and magical ways.

Aliyah hails from Brooklyn, New York whose love for breads and pastries stemmed directly from her Grandpa Ben, bestowing the delicate art of jamming, puréeing, pie making and customizing hand-painted macarons.

Inspired by illustrations in childhood book favorites, “Where The Sidewalk Ends” and “Corduroy” her designs are made to deliver familiarity, comfort and beautiful deliciousness. Flavors like Razzy Rose, Strawberry Cheesecake, Caramel Horchata, Lady Grey, Pink Lemonade, and Raspberry Elderberry.

Black Magic Sweets (BMS) is black woman owned, working collaboratively with POC, LGBTIA, and women owned businesses like Sip and Ship (Ballard | Greenwood) and Makeda & Mingus - valuing neighboring small businesses and local partnerships. Another example of this is BMS’s local sourcing, averaging 70-80% of their ingredients from Washington farmers from berries to honey. BMS also bakes custom cakes and hand-painted desserts to highlight graduations, bridal showers, new babies and birthdays!

It’s about darn time, right!?! Re-emerging from the impacts of the last couple of years has nothng short of tough. Like you, Sip and Ship has been working hard to recover and restore ourselves and our operation after, well, you know. As a result, we’ve learned how to re-prioritize how we show up for you, your family, and the life you are redefining.

For us, this means, cementing an incredible team who make your lattes just the way you like them, ship off your packages with the options you deserve, and take the time to support and guide your celebratory and gift buying with ease.

Better yet, we're able to get a head-start on your day at Sip and Ship. Our shops now open at 8am Monday - Friday, equipping your errand running with the high level of attention to detail, efficiency & care you’ve come to rely on at Sip and Ship over the last 20 years.

Visions Of Love

Join us this week to celebrate all of the amazing moms out there (including dog-moms, cat-moms & plant-moms)! This is their time to feel that sense of appreciation, support, and love. For all the first-time moms who are struggling with early, late, and constant feedings, lack of sleep, and the mixed bag of emotions. Pet Moms who walk their fur babies in the rain and have perfected the poop scoop. Moms who are masters at helping with homework, school projects, taxi driving, and getting everyone together for family time. The shoulder to cry on, the ear to listen - her arms are always there to hug or hold onto. Moms do a lot, we know it, you know it - this is our time to show it!
As always, Sip and Ship has curated a wonderful collection of cards, gifts, chocolates, and new this year - flowers! This year we’re excited to announce that Ballard Sip and Ship will be hosting a fresh flower pop-up for Mother's Day Weekend, Saturday, May 7th. We are partnering with Friendly Hmong Farms, who will be selling fresh cut flowers and bouquets in front of the Ballard store starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until their gorgeous bouquets last. Come grab a delicious Wildflower latte and expression of love for mom.
