Meet Our Team Members Inside Your Exclusive Digital Postcard and Come Experience Our In-Store Charm
It’s no secret that our employees are what make Sip and Ship shine, and we’re excited to share more about them with you. In a new monthly series, you’ll receive a digital postcard highlighting our talented crew members, featuring unique information about them that you wouldn’t otherwise have known —besides being a bright spot in your day. Your first digital postcard comes from Sharyn, a mastermind behind the espresso machine, and hardworking Shift Lead at Greenwood Sip and Ship. Hailing from the East Coast, Sharyn is a die-hard Kraken fan, loves to play ice hockey, and regularly performs in the Kraken pep band. She recently adopted her beloved pup Maizy (pictured above) —enjoying cozy cuddles with her and walking around Greenlake. Sharyn shares more with us below: What’s a place you will always cherish? Swallowtail Lighthouse on Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, Canada. This is the first sign of good times I saw every summer on my way to Whale Camp, where I developed a passion for marine science, preservation, and especially whales! What is your favorite coffee experience or service experience you’ve ever had? George Howell Coffee in Boston-- This was the first time someone knowledgeable ever talked to me about coffee, which immediately piqued my interest. This was also where I was first exposed to different brewing/roasting methods and they affect the nuances and tastes of different coffee. Years later, I still reflect on what I learned as a customer there. What is your go-to beverage and pastry at Sip and Ship? My morning bevi is the French Vanilla Kiss, iced with oat milk... YUM. As for pastries? I've made many banana bread recipes in my life, but Uncle Bentley's is by FAR the best one I've had. Highly recommended. Sharyn has also redesigned Sip and Ship’s very own Pastry Passport. Making a trip to collect your mail, packages and last minute gifts —even more worthwhile. After 10 purchases, the 11th pastry is free—your choice! We can’t wait for you to sink your teeth into our house-made savory rosemary cheddar scone or chewy ginger molasses cookie. Receiving and picking up packages has never been so easy, secure, or tasted so good! Sign up here and we'll see you soon! Written in collaboration by Diana Naramore and Megan Pavek

It’s fitting that February is not only a month of love, but also dedicated to honoring Black History!
At Sip and Ship, we are committed to celebrating diversity in our community year round by making intentional choices in partnering with Black artists, entrepreneurs and businesses. This is critical for creating beautiful and inclusive spaces where everyone is proud to be a part of, and feels at home in. Our cafe bakery cases would not have the same sparkle without the most beautifully decorated and delicious macarons from Aliyah Davis of Black Magic Sweets. Not to mention our ever-evolving partnership with La’Kita Williams and her CoCreate Work team in putting on our quarterly Coffee and Conversation series with founders, entrepreneurs, and women in business. This month in particular, we want to highlight their incredible work. Along with Black Artists like Cody Burt Creative, creator of greeting cards made from recycled products depicting Black Pop Culture Icons. We hope you will admire the strength and beauty of Alice Walker, Angela Davis, and Maya Angelou. On the back of each card is an inspirational quote from each one of these powerhouse changemakers. We also proudly feature Black Joy Paper, a collective to express individuality and amplify voices, and Nicole Marie Paperie, an infusion of brightness, warmth, and whimsy. Be sure to check out these talented Black Artists when you’re in the shop this week We’re grateful for the incredible entrepreneurs, artists, and customers that make Sip and Ship shine! Thank you for supporting our small but vibrant team and business. Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Sip and Ship fosters diversity, encourages collaboration, and empowers others. Let’s continue to spread the love this month, and year-round! Did you know that brightening someone's day can be as easy as sending a heartfelt note for less than a dollar? In a season adorned with hearts and bows, expressing love becomes paramount. At Sip and Ship, we cherish the power of connection through handwritten letters, quotes, poems, and stories. Today, we invite you to reflect on the abundance of love in your life—from family and friends to colleagues and perhaps a special Valentine. A quick "hello," "thank you," or "you make my day brighter" can mean the world. Letter writing has enduring benefits, as evidenced by a USPS study showing that 65% of recipients feel uplifted by receiving mail. This Valentine's Day, let simplicity reign by sharing small acts of love. Surprise loved ones with their favorite coffee, a humorous card, or simply by being present. These gestures may seem small, but their impact is mighty. Step away from the noise of screens and busy schedules to remind your loved ones how much they mean to you. Visit Sip and Ship for last-minute Valentine's or everyday cards and gifts. Our chocolate collection promises joy with every bite, while our 6-pack of macarons adds an extra touch of sweetness to any occasion. Spread the love digitally by leaving a Google, Yelp, or Nextdoor review for Sip and Ship and/or any other beloved local businesses in our community. Sharing your experience and kind words help small businesses thrive and survive. We appreciate the opportunity of working with you and look forward to seeing you this week! The five love languages is a concept coined by Dr. Gary Chapman on ways that resonate with you and how you may want to express yourself with your valentine this year ala Sip and Ship. 1. Words of Affirmation It’s no secret that Sip and Ship is keen on putting pen to paper. Written words of affection with a unique chocolate bar strike a balance that will sweeten your sentiments and leave a lasting impression on the taste buds of your loved one. 2. Acts of Service Set your evening scene with a savory homemade dinner. Pair it with one of our local Pour Me wine varietals and Love Potion Candle to ignite an enchanting evening. The flickering glow will transform any room into a haven for romance, where every whisper is tinged with an aromatic ambiance making sharing a few extra uninterrupted moments together extra special. 3. Receiving Gifts Love is like a box of chocolates - sweet, surprising, and simple, just like the joy found in the simplest of gestures. Create excitement for your child and uplift their spirits with something unique, like our bio-glitter Unicorn Snot. We’re not opposed to re-gifting either. Mail a piece of comfort from home. Allow us to tie a ribbon around their favorite stuffy, box of legos, or homemade chocolate chip cookies and get it in the mail - cupid’s arrow delivers smiles in all shapes and sizes. 4. Quality Time For the tea and coffee lovers, gifting a Sip and Ship Gift Card will keep their cup full. Carving out time to catch up over a steaming cup, conversations blended like the perfect brew, not only filling their mugs but savoring connections that never run dry. 5. Physical Touch Let’s face it, life can be a beehive of busyness. Giving the gift of tranquility orchestrates a melody of relaxation that can be shared. Serenity found in our collection of soothing bath bombs, sparkling bath tablets, and cozy blankets not only unwraps a thoughtful present but weaves threads of intimacy and bonds that resonate beyond the tangible. We hope this gift guide inspires a visit to our Ballard and Greenwood Sip and Ship locations for a mesmerizing experience of curated gifts that speak the language of romance, and where love meets coffee craftsmanship. Come savor our Pretty In Pink Latte and Sweetheart Chai while getting a document notarized, opening up a mailbox, or exploring our exquisite gift collection. We look forward to seeing you this week!
