We recently had a sweet interaction with a customer at our Greenwood store that we’d like to share this morning. A doting grandfather, brimming with excitement while on his way to pick up his daughter and granddaughter from the airport, wanted to surprise them with one of his favorite “welcome to Seattle” treats upon arrival; banana bread from Sip and Ship. 

How meaningful that an original family recipe used for one of our most beloved bakery items is at the heart of another family’s happy memory making. For us, it was a reminder that the smallest actions can have a powerful impact on ourselves, our loved ones, and the communities we serve.

So many melons are losing their rinds, being eaten at an alarming rate before they are even ripe, right in our own backyards!
