Adventures of living in the woods with some of your best friends, swimming, hiking and maybe sailing. Ghost stories around campfires, gooey-smores and lots of silly songs, that most of us can still remember all seven verses! Simply put, summer camp is the perfect summer slice of good-old-fashioned fun! While your campers get acclimated to their woodsy environment, they LOVE getting mail and packages. Dr. Jay Fathi, who is running for Seattle City Council in District 6 is coming to the Ballard Hotel & Olympic Athletic Club to meet you for Q&A, appetizers, and wine during this community gathering. Dr. Jay is running to bring new leadership to the City Council District 6. His career as a practicing family physician focusing on low-income individuals and families helped to build and lead the State’s expansion of coverage under Obamacare - - getting people, particularly those most vulnerable, the quality care they need to live healthy lives. In addition to his leadership in health care, Dr. Jay is an active community member and volunteer. He has volunteered as a youth athletics coach throughout his life, recently as the boy’s basketball coach at Hamilton International Middle School. Dr. Jay lives in the Fremont neighborhood with his wife, Joelle, a nurse practitioner and professor at the UW School of Nursing. Their two teenage sons, both Ballard High School students, play team basketball and love walking their family dog, Rosie.
