Now that the smoke is being washed away with the rains, we are optimistic with the chance to see things with a little more clarity and invite you to join us. Deals: This week Ballard has its neighborhood sidewalk sale event on October 1-4 from 11am-5pm. Ballard Sip and Ship will have amazing gifts significantly discounted and organized in three categories in $10, $5 and $1 sale areas. This is a great way to begin to stock up on gifts for: housewarming, birthday, new baby, wedding, anniversary, holiday and just because gifting! Steals: We are sorry to report that last week Ballard Sip and Ship was burglarized. Two men broke through one of our windows, crawled on the floor to avoid our motion sensors, riffled through all of our cash registers and drawers looking for anything of value and left with several bins of packages. As you can imagine, Steve and I feel completely gutted especially after the police confirmed that incidents like this are happening more routinely in our neighborhoods. We are relieved that no one was hurt, have increased our building security and refuse to let the bad guys win. We invite you to stay focused on the positive - the little lessons learned through these tough times. Sip and Ship will continue to show up for you, your business and your family with complete transparency, authenticity and integrity. See you soon.

Virtual Mailbox Services at Sip and Ship Make Following Your Passions Possible Albatross scientist Chris Jordan, is one of our virtual customers who has been living abroad in Chile to study this threatened species. As his home office, virtual mailbox and business support, Sip and Ship enables him to continue his work towards protecting and preserving these incredible birds by helping from afar. Available 24/7 Sip and Ship responds to any requests through a simple email conversation. Chris lets us know what he needs and when he needs it, and we make it happen! We’ve shipped food supplies and equipment to him on a mountain top while he stayed perched in one spot protecting nesting chicks. This week we will ship him his new debit card along with a restocked back pack of climbing gear to Chile. The Sip and Ship team takes pride in knowing we are the linchpin to him and his work. Keeping a watchful eye on his affairs stateside, communicating routinely and packing each individual item he needs with care so that he gets what he needs efficiently and safely - no matter how far the journey. Curious to learn more about the Albatross and the work Chris is doing? Check out his short film by following this link. We look forward to exploring ways to best support you and your life’s work. Some of you come in for a last-minute birthday gift. Or for our amazing coffee. Maybe it’s to collect your mail or just to say hello. Whatever your reason, we’re always glad to see you! Pretty soon we will be receiving ballots, and we’re excited for our voices to be heard. If you need to register to vote or know someone who needs to, click to register or share this link before October 26th to get started. Any reason is a good reason to visit Sip and Ship. Be safe, stay strong, and we look forward to getting your vote counted! Back-to-School life sure looks a little different this year. Sip and Ship has a few essentials to keep learning environments safe, and still fun! Here are some gift suggestions for the student or college bound learner in your life: 1. The Scent: What better way to make a space their own than by sending virtual hugs with the signature scent of the Northwest? We have a scent for everyone and all of them are made right here in our hometown. 2. The Look: Amplify your students' inner geek, and safety with our wellness kit. It includes easy to grab safety essentials; a carabiner hand sanitizer, your choice of Star Wars mask (Darth Vader being my personal favorite), and a rewarding nibble of Fran's chocolate keeping the force alive and well - even if you’re far from home. 3. The Feel: Finding time for self-care is key in our new school realities. Whether you’re a parent working and homeschooling your family, or distance learning (both are tough stuff) we hope to inspire a bit of downtime on your time. Our bourbon-and-vanilla-scented self-care kit inspires spa-like vibes. Perfect for that moment after crushing another week of learning! 4. The Flavor: Want something that encompasses a little bit of everything? Check out our coffee gift sets that include our locally roasted coffee, bamboo coffee cup, McCrea's delicious caramels, and a candle. We look forward to seeing you soon and helping you find the perfect gifts to keep you and your student(s) motivated to hit the books! |
