This month we have a postcard from Carrie White, who is the assistant store manager at the Greenwood Sip and Ship. Carrie has been an invaluable part of Sip and Ship since 2019. She worked her way up from an entry level position as a barista and we believe her potential is endless! Carrie works with great purpose and passion. She is a published author with a passion for reading, writing, and podcasting.
What is your favorite season?
My favorite season is fall. I love all things spooky, dark, gloomy and macabre.
Describe a cherished place or favorite travel destination and why?
I don't really have a favorite place- but I think anywhere outside with my husband is my favorite place to be. Enjoying nature and wildlife brings out a beautiful side to him, which brings joy to me.
What small business do you love in Seattle and why?
I really enjoy smaller bookshops, I've been heading to Phinney Books a lot recently, I love how calming it is to be in the atmosphere of the store.
What's your favorite drink/pastry from the Sip and Ship cafe?
My favorite drink is an iced hazelnut chai with almond milk. I make it no matter the weather, and love how the hazelnut flavor compliments the chai.
Any fun facts about yourself you'd like to share with our customers?
I love to write, and host a female led pro wrestling podcast called Queens Ring Podcast.
