The first of four Coffee & Conversation events in 2024 left us feeling wholly revitalized and inspired. From the lineup of dynamite speakers sharing their authentic advice and wisdom, to each and every remarkable businesswoman who took the time out of their hectic schedule to connect and share with us. Your presence is felt and it matters! Thank you for making this another successful event, allowing us to empower one another and forge forward with intentional goals for the new year.
At Sip and Ship, our support doesn’t end here. Let our stores - fully equipped with valuable resources, printing, scanning, notary services, and more - help you reach your business goals. Signing up for a mailbox will provide your business with a safe, secure, and reliable address, plus a team of qualified individuals behind you who can boost your efforts with extra coffee and conversation year-round!
After this goal-setting session last week, our speakers wanted everyone to leave with tactical tips and recommendations for planning in the year ahead. We wanted to share some gold nuggets with you to brighten up the weeks ahead:
Embrace the reset. If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or perhaps just off track, take a pause and ask yourself: What other options are available right now? What do I/we need most? How might we move forward with better alignment? You don't need to be perfect as a leader and business owner. Instead focus on being flexible, curious, and willing to learn. From this space, you can begin again
-La’Kita Williams, Founder of Co-Create Work
You don’t have to do it all right now. When you consciously discern what you want to focus on in the short term and give yourself permission to intentionally push other action items into the future (or take them off your list completely), you open up space to find success and joy in your most immediate goals. What do you want to focus on for the next 90 days? And, what will you intentionally push pause on in order to meet those 90-day goals?
-Sara Dean, Founder of The Shameless Mom Academy, Mindset and Business and Leadership Coach
It’s ok to be where you are right now, today. Whether you’re just getting things going, giving things another shot, or figuring it out as you go along, it’s okay to be right here, right now. Every step will offer lessons, pitfalls, opportunities for pivots, and the like. If you’re too caught up in where someone else is or where you think you should be (stop should’ing yourself), you’ll miss your critical lessons and blessins’ along the way. Pat yourself on the back for right where you are today, you’re doing a good job!
-Danielle Jenkins Henry, Founder of Dream Life Out Loud, PLLC
We wanted to recap and highlight these brilliant reminders as you move forward and conquer. Feeling inspired? Coffee and Conversation will be returning on Thursday, March 21st, and is a session that you will want to be a part of! Join us! Tickets are available for purchase here.
P.S. Wednesday, January 24th is National Compliment Day, and we jump at the opportunity to spread positivity and love ahead of Valentine’s Day (and every other day for that matter). Pair a compliment with one of our delicious sweet treats, and remember that nothing compliments a rainy Seattle day better than a warm and frothy latte from your favorite Sip and Ship.
