   | What advice would you give to a girl aged 8-16 today? I can only imagine how the girls on the US Hockey team (Gold medal winners!) must have been inspired at an early age. Or Chloe Kim, Lindsey Vonn, or any of the female athletes who have earned a spot to represent their countries. Somewhere a spark was ignited at an early age by a coach, a cause, a mentor, or a passion. How can more of these girls be reached? My answer can be found in an amazing organization right here in Seattle: ZGiRLS is a non-profit organization that empowers girls with confidence, self-esteem, mentors, and mental toughness. As luck would have it, ZGiRLS is putting on an event Thursday, March 22nd at theWashington Athletic Club that I would LOVE to invite you to witness in person what this group is accomplishing in our community! However, this is not your typical fundraiser. It will be an evening dedicated to bringing confidence to thousands of girls in 2018 and an opportunity for you to meet and unite with other professionals, and female Olympic athletes, including our very own,Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm. All while having fun and supporting a phenomenal cause! As you may or may not know, I am deeply passionate about empowering others (especially women and girls), and I believe every single one of them deserves to realize her potential. It's my hope you'll consider coming out to witness what amazing things are creating catalytic change for the young women in our community, or get involved in some way.
