Our communities have been acutely affected by the senseless acts of violence and loss of black lives for far too long. Collectively there is more work we can do to fight embedded racism and systemic injustice.
At Sip and Ship, our approach is to continue to listen, learn and lead through action. We urge you to join us with active listening without assumption or interruption, remaining open minded to perspectives different from your own, having the courage and curiosity to engage in meaningful and often uncomfortable conversations and to join protesting for justice and reform by marching, mailing, emailing, donating and sharing your voice and and the voices of others on social channels.
If you are new to anti-racism, the time is now to be brave and begin the work to advocate for change. Here are a few ways to directly and immediately refocus your energy and power. Consider supporting a few of black-owned small businesses and organizations. Here are a few resources to get started. If you have any you would like to share with us, we would welcome those too. Together we are a body of work in progress for positive change.
