They are our go-to printer for the school’s newsletter, posters and flyers. NATIONAL GRATITUDE MONTH - NOVEMBER

11/3/2019

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year and November is my favorite month.  As the leaves change colors, temperatures cool with a crispness in the air, November is the time of year when Sip and Ship begins to prepare for its busiest shipping season of the year. Right now we are bringing in seasonal gifts, stocking up on shipping supplies and on-boarding and training a support team to best support you during your visits.

November also represents a time of gratitude - my favorite Sip and Ship core value.

Research has shown that harnessing gratitude can enhance moods, decrease stress, improve overall well-being and result in more satisfying personal and professional relationships.

Sip and Ship was designed to simplify your life and serves up daily doses of gratitude - one cup, one gift and one package at a time.  We are genuinely thankful for the opportunity to serve you and your business needs, and look forward to seeing you in Ballard or Greenwood soon. Here is a glimpse of our expansion project in Greenwood - opening November 14th!

Falling Into Place - Sip and Ship Celebrates 17 Years In Community

10/11/2019

Remembering back to 2002, Sip and Ship was carved into a vacant space in Ballard. With a newborn on our hip, along with a few fresh-faced employees, we opened our doors into the unknown. Steve and I had never been entrepreneurs before and had just invested into a concept that made sense to us but was difficult  explain to others. Are we a post office? Are we a coffee shop? Are we a gift boutique? All we really knew was how to take care of people. So we look a big leap of faith coupled with a little tenacity, hoping that the rest would fall into place.

Five years later, we introduced a-sister-store into the  Greenwood neighborhood.  Where we stumbled through a recession and five years after that, moved its location 10 blocks north where we currently operate today.

Here we are 17 years later very proud to serve the people that make up our community and who we want to celebrate. On October 15th, Sip and Ship would be honored to serve a special thanks to all of you, our amazing customers, who have supported us over the years! Your friendly Sip and Ship team would like to personally thank you by serving you free lattes all day and samples from our new vendor HomeGrown sandwiches (while supplies last in Ballard only).
We appreciate the opportunities you’ve provided us over the years to be of service to you, your family and business, and look forward to remaining a mainstay in your lives for years to come.

With gratitude and full hearts,

Diana and Your Friendly Sip and Ship Team

Did Someone Say Spiced Apple Cake!? It Must Be October At Sip and Ship

10/7/2019

Now that we’re into fall, our in-house Bakery-Creative, Kat Schulthies, has brought back my grandmother’s green apple spice cake. This time with a slight twist. Kat's made them into mini-versions calling them “Grandma Dot’s." She's turned them upside down, providing the proper surface for her scratch-made buttery caramel sauce to cascade down their sides. Is your mouth watering yet!?

This week, when you stop by Sip and Ship on your way to or from work be sure to bring your errand list. Dash in to drop off your online returns, pick up your mail and packages and grab a last-minute birthday gift. Either way, you're invited to savour this small taste of my childhood. Growing up, I will never forget watching my grandmother before farm-to-table was a thing. She grew and harvested her own fruit and vegetables. And, from her modest kitchen, she whipped up family meals only to finish them off with special treats like this one.

Looking forward to being of service to you this week. See you soon!

Macarons are special. Macarons are a treat. Macarons are now available at NW Market Street!

Macarons are fun to eat. It’s fun to say, well worth a tweet. Macarons are colorful and decadently sweet. Great with a cup of coffee at Sip and Ship, making your errand running deliciously complete.

This Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, come meet macaron maker Alexandra of Alexandra’s Macarons from 9am-noon.

Can’t make it!?! Don’t sweat it! Sip and Ship is proud to feature these beautiful pastel-hued buttercream morsels in our cafes for you to savor and enjoy! Single cookies and six-packs will be available.

Looking forward to sharing smiles with you soon!
