Welcome. I'm Diana Naramore, a children's author who believes curiosity is one of our greatest teachers.
Some discoveries arrive in an instant. Others reveal themselves slowly, one curious step at a time. As a young girl, a spinal cord injury changed the course of my life. Learning to walk again with the aid of leg braces taught me that progress isn't always measured in giant leaps. More often, it begins with observation, patience, and the courage to ask, What if? That perspective continues to shape the way I see the world—and the stories I write. Through picture books, I hope to inspire children and the adults who read with them to slow down, notice the extraordinary in everyday moments, and discover that wonder often begins with a single question. This blog is a place to share that journey. You'll find reflections from nature, glimpses into my writing process, updates on Bruce and the Crow, and the quiet moments that remind me why curiosity matters. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you'll return often, and perhaps leave with a question of your own. Every story begins with one curious step.
