We Promise, We're Smiling

A wise Buddha once whispered in my ear, “The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” For your health and the health of others, please wear a mask during your visit at Sip and Ship.

Our team truly enjoys making you your favorite coffee beverage, serving fresh baked homemade goodies and helping you run your business and celebrate milestones in your life - and would appreciate your cooperation by wearing a mask when you come inside what has become your favorite one-stop-shop and neighborhood hub.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

There’s No Excuse Not to Visit Sip and Ship!

Now that we’re into summer with a little more freedom to roam about, Sip and Ship encourages you to consider taking advantage of some of our convenient services to  help you get things done with greater speed and ease. We’ve heard some excuses over the years, but rest assured, we almost always have the remedy.
  1. “I ran out of tape!” You don’t need tape. Open boxes don’t stand a chance when they are brought to Sip and Ship. We are happy to seal them up tight and send them on their way.
  2. “My printer ran out of toner!” No worries, Sip and Ship has plenty of toner, and our printers are ready whenever you are. You can email us your prepaid shipping labels. We can get you squared away quicker than you can say double-tall half-cafe latte with a half a pump of sugar-free vanilla.
  3. “Oh no, I already recycled the shipping box!” You don’t need the original box. We have a wide assortment of padded mailers and boxes to fit your returns.
Thank you for thinking of Sip and Ship whenever you have something to return, mail or notarize. We enjoy being your neighborhood hub and look forward to seeing you this week.

Sip and Ship Honors Black Lives Matter

6/11/2020

Sip and Ship will be closed Friday, June 12th to honor Black Lives Matter.

We invite you to approach this significant time in history with great intentionality and needed action. We believe that some of the most important work is a greater understanding of how we all got here, learning our hidden biases and coming to terms with each of our own individual responsibility towards anti-racism. We hope that this time will provide you with some space to examine and continue to engage in your own way.

We appreciate your open mindedness, kindness and support as we navigate and shift into uncomfortable but necessary change.

We look forward to seeing you again on Saturday, June 13th from 10am-5pm.

Sincerely,

Diana and Your Sip and Ship Team

Black Lives Matter - Doing The Work Together

6/7/2020

“The beauty of anti-racism is that you don’t have to pretend to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it’s the only way forward.” - IJEOMA OLUO

Our communities have been acutely affected by the senseless acts of violence and loss of black lives for far too long. Collectively there is more work we can do to fight embedded racism and systemic injustice.

At Sip and Ship, our approach is to continue to listen, learn and lead through action. We urge you to join us with active listening without assumption or interruption, remaining open minded to perspectives different from your own, having the courage and curiosity to engage in meaningful and often uncomfortable conversations and to join protesting for justice and reform by marching, mailing, emailing, donating and sharing your voice and and the voices of others on social channels.

If you are new to anti-racism, the time is now to be brave and begin the work to advocate for change. Here are a few ways to directly and immediately refocus your energy and power. Consider supporting a few of black-owned small businesses and organizations. Here are a few resources to get started. If you have any you would like to share with us, we would welcome those too. Together we are a body of work in progress for positive change.
Black Lives Matter Global Network fights for racial liberation and justice and supports the safety and well-being for black communities.

NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund our country’s foremost legal organization on the front lines in the fight for racial justice.

A is for Activist by Innosanto Nagara a great tool to share and discuss with your family

“What part do I play,” asks academic and author of White Fragility Robin DiAngelo

Emerald City Fish and Chips - Alaskan cod, halibut fish and chips, chowder and crab puppies

Ezell’s Famous Chicken - legendary fried chicken

Diverse City LLC - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultants have helped companies both large and small hire and retain a workforce that is more diverse and who feel a strong sense of belonging

CoCreate Work - Founders and entrepreneurs all over the world are creating a new paradigm of what’s possible in the workplace.  We partner with organizations to build this new reality and the future of work where people thrive

Nourish Events - Doing diversity differently through the art of conversation, challenge ideas while leaving room for intention, interpretation, and progress. We aim to explore personal identities using storytelling and active listening to build empathy and community

During this time of epic uprising and needed change you can rely on Sip and Ship to be a place that supports and amplifies the human spirit.

We look forward to seeing you soon,
