Once a year, PhinneyWood comes alive for the big ArtWalk—a joyful celebration of art, creativity, community, and the wonderfully unexpected.

This year, we’re especially excited to welcome Carissa Mellroth, owner of Blossom Dearie Vintage, to Sip and Ship. Carissa has been a longtime Sip and Ship customer and family friend, so this collaboration feels especially meaningful to us. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our shop with her and showcase the beautiful vintage collection she has thoughtfully gathered for the occasion.

Carissa’s collection includes a remarkable vintage photograph of a young hippo and his keeper from Seattle’s own Woodland Park Zoo, along with an assortment of precious, one-of-a-kind treasures—each selected for its beauty, character, craftsmanship, and story.

A True Seattle Friendship
There’s something about this photograph that makes you stop and look twice. A young hippo rests beside his keeper, completely at ease in his company. It’s a quiet, tender moment between two very different beings—and one that feels like a glimpse of a true friendship.

We love the stories that beautiful things can hold. A photograph preserves a moment. An object carries traces of another time. And sometimes, a treasure simply makes us wonder about the people, places, and stories behind it.

Carissa has an exceptional eye for vintage treasures that feel both timeless and wonderfully unexpected. Her collection includes mid-century modern design, housewares, studio pottery, one-of-a-kinds, and other beautifully made vintage pieces, each carefully selected for its beauty, personality, and history.

There’s something special about finding an object that feels like it was meant to find you. Every piece has a story—and exploring Carissa’s collection is a little bit like going on a treasure hunt.

We’re especially happy to collaborate with Carissa and celebrate the spirit of women supporting women and small businesses supporting small businesses. We love making room for another woman-owned small business to share her vision, her finds, and her beautifully developed point of view with our community.

While you wander and browse, Sip and Ship will be serving refreshing samples of our crowd favorites, including our house-made lavender lemonade and iced tea, along with bites of our house-made salted chocolate chip cookies.

And because finding a great little something is even better when it comes with a great little price, we’ll also have our Sip and Ship Summer Sale, featuring $2 cards and other specially discounted items throughout the shop, while supplies last.
