We can’t control the winter weather, we can always control our mindset by surrounding ourselves with positivity and practicing hygge. Our shops have been thoughtfully curated to do just that– bring the outdoors indoors– creating a warm and inviting space that is and is full of PNW magic and infectious spirit!
Step inside, and let the demands and stressful to-do lists fall away as you immerse yourself in an atmosphere inspired by the beauty of nature. Today, we wanted to share some of our best tips to tap into the serenity of another wonderful holiday season. These tips are guaranteed to help you make the most of every moment, no matter what is thrown your way over the next 5 weeks!
1. Spread cheer with holiday cards
Something as small as mailing a card can leave a lasting impression. In these increasingly digital times, receiving physical mail from loved ones near or far creates excitement and fosters a special connection. Sip and Ship is fully stocked with beautiful cards, stationery, and forever stamps for all your mailing needs and winter well-wishes! We’re also your go-to stop for holiday stamps, saving you from being stuck in the excruciating lines at the post office.
2. Embark on a weekday or weekend adventure
Looking at beautiful light displays and Christmas decor, sharing laughs with your companion, and a toasty hot chocolate in hand, it doesn’t get much better than that! Whether you decide to stay in town or make the trip out to Leavenworth– here’s a list of some of our favorites. And while you’re away, no matter how near or how far, having peace of mind that your valuable packages and mail are secure is 100% worth it.
3. Shop small
While we hope that you support small businesses like Sip and Ship every day, Small Business Saturday (Nov. 30) is an extra fun excuse to do some shopping with a friend and spread some love! A portion of every purchase made at our stores will be given back to Mary’s Place and the Duwamish Tribe. Shopping small makes such a meaningful impact and supports critical organizations in our community.
4. Keep the spirit alive
Decorate the house with hand-picked retail items, seasonal garlands, cozy candles, and woodland creatures that are sure to spark delight! Our favorite candies taste even sweeter when they’re made locally, like Frans Chocolate and Seattle’s Chocolates. Stock up on all of these items and more at Sip and Ship! Personally, our favorite hostess gift is the squirrel salt and pepper shakers or holiday napkins.
With Thanksgiving this week, the holidays are officially in full swing! We hope this list helps you navigate these hectic times while being intentional, slowing down and savoring special moments with the loved ones we hold so dear.
P.S. Both Sip and Ship locations will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28th and 29th, to give our team some much deserved time off and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. Our doors will reopen on Small Business Saturday, November 30th from 10-5, and we can't wait to serve our delicious cups of coffee and spark up happy conversations with each of you! See you then!
